…This episode could actually make Discord even more interesting as a character in the long run. Right now, he’s fairly predictably malicious if good at manipulating people. He’d be a lot more chaotic and unpredictable if he went wild with the Face Heel Revolving Door.

Well…Delancie DID confirm that he did new voice work for the show….barring the improbability of him being a new character then Discord will appear…in this situation?…Maybe..maybe not.

I’ll be honest, this is the only episode that’s concerned me at all.
 
having Discord reform even a little takes away his threat and turns him into, at worst, a pest with a lot of power. Instead of being a more malicious Q, he’d be a less threatening Mr. Mxyzptlk.
 
If Fluttershy can’t reform him even a little bit, than it plays poorly with the themes of the show.

I’m really looking forward to this episode. For all her faults, Fluttershy is still my favorite character from the series while Discord’s the most interesting villain I’ve seen in quite a while. It’ll be interesting to see how it all unfolds. :)
