I love all of the little easter eggs that the show animators always throw into each episode. Its part of the fun and anticipation upon the arrival of every new episode.

Oh really? Interesting.

To be honest, I didn’t think the Water Temple was that hard. (Just tedious, as you had to keep raising/lowering the water. There was also that one easy-to-miss key room, though the 3DS version fixed the cinematic scene to show it’s entrance when the water is raised.) I had more trouble with the Forest Temple as a kid, as it was quite dark, some rooms looked the same, making it a bit confusing, and easy to get lost in.

“Darn fairy!”
I hear rumors Craig, Lauren, and others who worked on those shows are Nintendo fans. I do remember a GameCube & GBA appearing in Foster’s. Sibsy’s a Sanik fan.

Oh, those aren’t rumors, those are FACTS! They are hardcore Nintendo fans. So much that many of their meetings around the time they were working on PPG were focused solely on solving OoT puzzles (most famously the horror that was the Water Temple).
And yeah, I remember the Game Cube, GBA and even a DS in Foster (I remember the DS perfectly because the whole episode focused on it… Well the reveal at least showed it was that.)

I bought “Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D” recently, (now that it’s cheaper, plus I wanted to finally experience the “Master Quest” dungeons) and looking back it still feels true to the old overhead 2D Zelda games to me. It’s basically like “A Link to the Past” but with a different perspective. The way Link even jumps off ledges automatically, and such, even kinda reminds me of the SNES game.

Even Windwaker adapted more things from the 2D games, like the ability to hurt enemies with thrown pots, or knock them off ledges. So I still see hints of the old-school games in them. And later 2D games like the GBColor “Oracle” games, and “Minish Cap” feature characters, and things similar to the 3D games too. So they all still feel linked (pun) to me, while offering different perspectives and such of the series.

Shame “Twlight Princess” broke the tradition of having Octoroks in every game though.

Part of why I love those 3 games so much isn’t because they “feel like Zelda games”, but because I feel like I could play them as separate games altogether. It makes the adventure feel much more fresh that way, in fact the only Zelda games of those 3 that has obvious ties to games before it that weren’t part of those 3 is OoT. Again, everyone has a right to their own opinion.

Sounds like it, I mean I like Oot, MM, and WW but they do not have the same feeling as the games before them so I’m not going to say the newer ones are not the part of the series just for not having the same feeling.
They have a lot of things in them to make them Zelda game even with a different feeling to them, but that is how some series change over time.
