This show was always on in the nut house.
Yeah, that was the episode where Spongebob and Squidward got combined together thanks to an invention of Sandy’s, but that episode was already creepy to begin with. It might be possible, though nobody would ever hire writers that crazy.
It’s not just that. There’s a darker tinge to the Season 4 episodes. I distinctly remember one episode literally ending with everyone caught up in some disgusting mish-mash straight out of a David Cronenberg film. The episodes are also a lot more soap opera-like, and for some reason therapy appears a lot in Season 4.
I heard Spongebob got new writers in Season 4, is it possible those writers had mental illnesses?
It’s probably the animation. Looks different than the other Modern episodes.
Is it just me, or is there something… off, about Season 4? And I don’t mean bad like Modern Spongebob tends to be, there’s an unsettling quality to Season 4 episodes.
I don’t know what it is, but Season 4 Spongebob is unnerving for some reason.
Yeah, I hate Modern Spongebob episodes.
