I’m sure a bunch of people complaining in one pic isn’t exactly the majority. In DeviantArt for example (I know), the reaction to her shipping pics has always been mostly the opposite and there’s always far more comments, so I guess that would be the majority then? Anyways, I just mentioned the use of the word “annoying” when you specifically talked about her choice of pairings. That seems like a personal issue, not an objective one.

Pish posh. That’s not at all what I was saying. I’m talking about the people who take the Kilalaverse as the next gen verse, to the point of denying any others. Propping it up as the One True Verse, and damn the others as false prophets. Now, granted, I haven’t seen that for the Kilalaverse in a while, but I don’t know, maybe I haven’t been in the right places to see it or maybe it’s died down, but I have seen it in the past, and as soon as someone has taken that standpoint, I will always say that person is overrating it. Anything that attempts to stifle other creativity in the same direction because they believe the current one is the best is and always will be overrating something.

Kilala ships Trixie x Starlight now, and has said she doesn’t really ship any of her NG Ships aside for Sparity. I’m guessing she chose the rest since they are all safe bets and have a limited amount of hate towards them.

I did. Its mostly people complaining about either not liking it, how much other people obsess over ships, etc.  
It eventually comes down to mods telling them to filter what they don’t like.  
So again, how is a verse not catering to your tastes an objectively bad/overrated thing?

So? I see she ships tons of characters. That still doesn’t say anything about why its a bad thing compared to other verses. The fact that hers is so popular just means tons of people like what she does.
 
From that pic alone, a reasonable conclussion seems to be that a good chunk of the discontentment with her verse, probably comes from the side of the fanbase obsessed with lesbian ships.

Kilalaverse aside, this sort of thinking is a much bigger problem.  
Nothing will ever be considered truly great anymore, because we’ve come to the point when anytime something impresses/attracts a vast number of people and inspires them enough to cause that level of appreciation, then its immediately labelled as overrated by those few who have any sort of problem with it.

Ya, makes it jarring that they are so many image with them not around there parents yet have them be mostly stand-ins for them.  
I mean if it makes you wonder why there a few with them with there parents yet doing stuff to make them like them, and nothing to really set them apart form them, it doesn’t feel like they are the offspring of them…
