Description
Cadence and Spike rule the Crystal Empire together in the far future and in their twilight years (as much as these two can given their long lifespans) are best friends and have a quiet companionable romance. They have their daughter and raise her with love for as long as they have.

| Personal Headcanon(s) (I’m developing a lot for her – off the top of my head): |
- Rose’s insecure around ponies outside the Crystal Empire because they see her as freaky and scary for her hybrid looks and dragon traits. She often shows off those dragon traits around others because it’s how she owns those parts of herself. She tries to push away her insecurities and bury them in this way.
- She primarily eats gems but also needs to eat other foods for nutritional benefits – Rose has texture issues with soft foods and has to have powdered gems mixed into her food for the grit so she can eat it. If there’s none available she’ll either have crunchy/gritty foods or go chew on gravel.
- She’s got the long lifespan of a dragon mixed with the augmented lifespan of her mother so she doesn’t know how long she’ll live but it’ll be in the 500-600 year range, at least.
- Rose has two hearts and has a unique organ that resembles the fire sac that dragons have in their stomachs but with a pocket that contains her magical aura.
- She has almost the same type as Spike (who was not developed with it but since his hatching he has it due to Twilight’s power burst) but since Cadence’s DNA was mutated when she ascended – she inherited Cadence’s ‘spark’ (the gland in unicorns that allows them to physically manipulate the magic inside of them).
- As such – where Spike’s magic existed to enhance the abilities of his fire and only that, hers functions in much the same way a unicorn does. So she’s able to breathe it onto her claws and manipulate it as a unicorn would with their horn. (she possesses his power to use his fire as a communication and object teleportation vessel)
- She doesn’t have fire per se, it can turn into fire when she’s mad or goes into her feral greed state but she usually has ice instead.
- When she goes greedy, she doesn’t grow but instead turns more feral and serpentine – her tongue (already lizard like) gains prehensile abilities, her eyes grow a double eyelid, her spike grow and become sharper and more untamed, she begins to speak in growls, she begins to hoard treasures and even move more like a serpent.
- Has a pet named Spinel, a crystal hedgehog – she found the runt in a patch of Spinel Saffrons and she has taken them under her wing ever since.
