even though they both stem from pride those scenarios were clearly different, pinkie experienced fear for her place as ponyville’s party pony which led her to be competitive and jealous of cheese, in this ep its more about pinkie wanting to make maud as happy as she made her, one is about not being fearful and competitive against people that do stuff better than you the other is about how relationships aren’t a happiness contest
also pinkie didn’t learn jack in filli vainilli, you’re just making stuff up
