Actually this comic is based on a chapter of the story “Dragon Mating Season” written by KingSpikeRules on Fanfiction.net. So if you’ve read this on Fanfiction, you would generally know what is gonna happen in this work.
 
As for the sequels to Dragon Mating Season:
 
Dragon Mating Season 2–Spike’s lust starts to pick up again years after DMS 1, and needs more mares (that is where the CMCs, Cadence, and others come in, but at the same time, some demon named Narvok wants to possess Spike and brainwash him to rape every single female available and generally overthrow Equestria. If you remember Power of Dragon Mating, where there is that story where Spike’s parents enslaved the mares and stallions to just be their sex toys, that eventually let to a kingdom falling and Princess Celestia banishing Spike’s parents from Equestria, and eventually came into possession of Spike’s egg. Navok apparently wants to complete the job that Spike’s parents accidentally started due to their excessive lust, and he wants to use their son to do the job.
 
Dragon Mating Season 3 (currently in process)–Roughly 5 years after DMS 2, Spike wants to live with his mares and foals in peace, but the queen of a dragon nation wants Spike to come with her to be her king, otherwise that dragon nation would invade Equestia. She makes a wager with Spike that if he adds eight more females to his current harem, the dragon queen would bestow his mares a gift that would allow their life expectancy to rival that of dragons. The catch–Spike’s new mates cannot be ponies. And obviously it’s never that simple–there is a rogue dragon that wants to overthrow the dragon queen and force the two into a war that eventually the dragons would win.

I’ve not read the fic this is based on, but the description of its two sequel series’ seems to say Spike becomes the patriarch of a mare brood made of several of the mane characters including Cheer and the CMC. I mean, they successfully curb his dragon instinct at the same time. Just with an incredibly strange side-effect. XD

Something tells me things won’t turn out like she wants.
