Yes, but Spike’s character was pointless after Season One. He served as being a good “straight man/dragon” for Twilight’s antics, but as she became smarter and less socially awkward, he sort of lost his purpose and just became a secondary-Main, right up there with Celestia; Considered a “Main”, but limited roles or purpose.

The MLP fandom is full of pictures of Spike’s closest friends without Spike. Sometimes others are included in his stead, such as Derpy, Sunset, or the CMC. And you think you’re annoyed? After seeing this from only one artist instead of hundreds? I find it absolutely delightful to see an artist who doesn’t view the mane six as a chain gang or toy set.

Sundown’s antipathy towards Twilight always annoyed me, particularly since is struck me as somewhat classist when his “‘Mane’ 5 as vigilantes’ alt-verse was explained.
 
If, mayhaps, we saw her hanging around the rest of the diarchy, whom Sundown has no trouble drawing.
 
It’s all too bad, I love his softly exaggerated art.

Wasn’t insulting him, just saying a more likely reason for not doing much Twilight is that he doesn’t like her. It seems there’s only speculations on why he doesn’t draw her, and regardless of what the reason is, it doesn’t matter because he can draw what he damn well pleases. Twilight fans will get over it.
 
That’s more just my thoughts on why he doesn’t draw her, which I only share because it makes more sense than ‘not enjoying drawing a character despite the creative freedom you have over it like the other characters’. Whatever reasons he has are his business, I’m not telling him what to draw. As I said, I’m not much a fan of the art style.

ehh, it wasn’t really an insult in any way. It was more saying that “twilight isn’t interesting enough” is simply an excuse for sundown just plain not liking her, and if that’s the case, then that’s okay. It’s alright to just not like a character.

Personally I’d agree with what someone said on a previous image where she was excluded.  

 
I’m not a fan of the art style, so I honestly don’t care either way, but doing all these group images and leaving her out is really just asking for complaints from people. I don’t really see how she wouldn’t be any less enjoyable to draw compared to every other character when there’s as much creative freedom with her as the others, so do her in a way you’d enjoy. I mean compared to most other humanized versions of characters, they’re pretty damn different. Hell, he’s even going out of the way to replace her with Sunset in this one. What’s the difference at that point?  
Hardly seems like an excuse and more a cover for just saying he doesn’t like her.
 
In which case, fine, explanation gained. Nobody can force him to draw what he doesn’t like. Moving on!

That comment string still didn’t simply and succinctly state the exact reason as to why he does not want to draw Twilight. I don’t care if he draws her or not, it’s his choice as the artist to draw what he pleases, I and plenty of others simply want to know why.

Sundown reckons it could be Alien they are watching, but I bet if asked, “which?”, he would say, “whichever you like, it doesn’t matter”

Maybe they are watching an action movie, and we’re watching their reactions at a scene where the MC is in great danger (like hanging from a burning rope on the Eiffel Tower with an briefcase on his other hand while 2 snipers are shooting at him or something over the top)
 
Rainbow is concerned for the MC like when she read Daring Do  
Rarity is calm because she’s aware this is a movie so she just enjoys watching it  
Fluttershy is scared of the danger the MC is in  
Applejack is just watching the movie in a confortable position  
Sunset is really focused on the scene

Ahh, that nice fuzzy feeling…thank you, I am quite the fan of Sundown. I recognize you in a lot of images and always read what you have to say :)  
I’m actually finishing a remember the image rating uh…Very romantic fanfic based on his work between Sunset, Applejack and Rarity. It’s at 16,000 words currently, and boy, does writing take longer than I thought. Another 3-4000 words should do it.
