In the first, Pinkie looked more like clay; they have also experienced with different materials such as carpets, and having different light sources.

The second, they tried to make it look as closely to a toy set as possible. All textures are dull and flat, to look like plastic. No additional light sources are in the image.

The first looks more alive, but the second is more true to what toys looks like.
