Although, now that I think about it. The one thing that may change considerably is the relationship between Discord and Fluttershy. I know it’s nothing that significant at this point, in the show. But, it’s kinda clear that Discord has quite the ‘male soft spot’ for Fluttershy. He’s very possessive of her in a typically masculine fashion. Don’t know how the writers would handle that if he was female, instead.

I honestly don’t think it would change too much. It would still be the same character. Just that the voice performance and maybe a few little quirks and behaviors would be different. But, it would still be a selfish, spirit of chaos that sucks at friendship and is manipulative.
