In essence, gun nerds got angry at the uploader describing the Karabiner 98 rifle (a Mauser style bolt action rifle) as an assault rifle (which implies fully automatic fire).
assault rifles fire intermediate cartridges (like 5.56x45 NATO or 7.92x33 Kurz) and all can fire fully or semi automatically, examples: M4/M16, AK-74, AK-47, StG44, G36
battle rifles fire full power (like 7.62x51 NATO or 7.62x54R) cartridges and most can fire both fully and semi automatically, examples: G3, M14, FN FAL, M1, SVT-40
bolt action rifles come chambered in many different calibers and need to be manually reloaded, exmaples: K98, lee enfield, mosin nagant
therefore the depicted K98 is a bolt action rifle, if it was a G43 then the battle rifle tag would be more appropriate.
