My parents kept hinting me different colleges but after viewing the whole “Apply to this college and see if they accept you.” comes off more like “And why should we ALLOW YOU to spend your money here?”
Well, in my country high school graduation ceremony exists, of course, but is quite different. And, as far as I can remember, we just wore formal clothes… I’ve only seen such a gowns at some university graduation ceremonies (not mine, though)…
I wore a gown to my high school graduation. Did you not?
Veterinary. With specialization in horses. ;) (j/k)
I love how adorkable Twi looks! <3
Wow, it’s crazy how there is a lot of like minded people here aside from the pony loving mindset of course. XD
It worries me that I’ll do the same thing after graduating. School is the only thing keeping me from being a hermit.
Have you considered, y’know, looking for a different job? One that you’d like more or would give you more work/life balance?
Damn that’s determination. :) I’ll keep at it man. After all it’s what you do with the degree afterward right. ;D
Decided to transfer after going on academic probation. Had to do a stint at community to college to get my GPA high enough for the school to take me.
Oh also I forgot the part about where I’ve been sinking a lot of /mental energy/ into stupid girly horse cartoon that’s been running the entire time I’ve been at my current job because it at least kind of takes my mind off of how much everything feels like a goddamn bottomless pit.
All things considered though my mental state’s probably better now than it was in college. I don’t have any nostalgia for college.
and now it’s four years later, I’ve got a ton of money, I hate my job, I don’t like my coworkers, my pets are dead, I don’t talk to my parents that much, I don’t have any meaningful relationships, I kind of dislike myself on a lot of levels, I’ve failed at all of my personal goals, but uh
I’m rich. That’s all that matters.
That’s the thing man, my EE department in my school really sucks. :( I didn’t know it until I got into upper division. It’s painful.
Did you change colleges? or graduated first in electrical engineering with a low GPA and went back to school? :(
So… I guess try to find a college whose VPs don’t number in the double digits.
The school you go to can make a big difference. I flunked out of my first school trying to do electrical engineering. Now I’m a computer engineer with a high GPA. Don’t give up!
Ohh, i forgot to mention, the right to do that fucking exam cost money.
*shitloads of people for a couple of vacants
