I was actually a mixture of Rainbow Dash and Applejack; I went and got a job almost the following week because there were so many new things out I wanted to purchase.

My parents kept hinting me different colleges but after viewing the whole “Apply to this college and see if they accept you.” comes off more like “And why should we ALLOW YOU to spend your money here?”

I was making Applejack’s face all throughout my graduation, even though I got straight-A’s and was constantly told I was a shoo-in for a successful life. My outlook is even more like Applejack’s now…

Well, in my country high school graduation ceremony exists, of course, but is quite different. And, as far as I can remember, we just wore formal clothes… I’ve only seen such a gowns at some university graduation ceremonies (not mine, though)…

So, they’ve graduated from high school there? Strange, I’ve always attributed such a clothes to university graduation…

Wow, it’s crazy how there is a lot of like minded people here aside from the pony loving mindset of course. XD

Have you considered, y’know, looking for a different job? One that you’d like more or would give you more work/life balance?

Damn that’s determination. :) I’ll keep at it man. After all it’s what you do with the degree afterward right. ;D

Oh also I forgot the part about where I’ve been sinking a lot of /mental energy/ into stupid girly horse cartoon that’s been running the entire time I’ve been at my current job because it at least kind of takes my mind off of how much everything feels like a goddamn bottomless pit.

All things considered though my mental state’s probably better now than it was in college. I don’t have any nostalgia for college.

High GPA and ACT scores in highschool, got full tuition scholarship in uni, kept my GPA around 3.8ish, took as many credits as possible, double majored in CS and Russian, still slacked off a lot and put minimal effort into everything because it was CS and Russian, graduated in four years with magna cum laude and no debt, did another year of school after college cause I had money saved up that I never used, got a well paying job from a job fair

and now it’s four years later, I’ve got a ton of money, I hate my job, I don’t like my coworkers, my pets are dead, I don’t talk to my parents that much, I don’t have any meaningful relationships, I kind of dislike myself on a lot of levels, I’ve failed at all of my personal goals, but uh

I’m rich. That’s all that matters.

That’s the thing man, my EE department in my school really sucks. :( I didn’t know it until I got into upper division. It’s painful.

Did you change colleges? or graduated first in electrical engineering with a low GPA and went back to school? :(

Yeah, I was like Twilight there. Close to the top of my class, won an academic scholarship to a prestigious engineering school. Then came the realization that the scholarship demanded a constant 3.5 GPA each semester to keep going, and the truth that a high school whiz-kid is just another college freshman. I managed to graduate, but I looked more like Applejack by the time I made it.
