So does this mean we know have an official (if somewhat small) reference for what pony Superman looks like? Because that would be pretty cool. Now if we can just get Wonder Woman and Batman in there…
 
Also, when do we get to see the colt version, the cyborg version, the blue version, the soviet version, the bizarro version, the Equestria 3 Ultrapony version, the quantum version, and the version where it isn’t him but someone in an iron suit paying homage to him?

No, this is displayed in Griffon the Brushoff and Ponyville confidential. In the former, he gets the hiccups where he accidentally bursts flames out and burns up the scrolls he is carrying. The scrolls get sent to Celestia. in ponyville confidential, he blows fire in the newspaper he’s reading when he is startled and it burns to ashes.
 
Remember that the only thing spike has ever sent is the Scrolls, so it’s most likely that the magic is in the scrolls, not his fire.

Does Spike have like two different types of flames? One for sending paper to Celestia and the other for burning things?

The only thing Spike’s fire “sends” is the special magic scrolls sent by Celestia (most likely designed to work with his fire breath due to having been raised by her). EVERYTHING else suffers at the flames: popcorn, feathers, book pages, newspaper, giant ice meteors, all burned up and not sent anywhere.

It’s quite possible. He worked with Twilight in Canterlot Library, which is also where Shining was and he was most likely like an older brother to him, one of the few other guys to hang out with.
 
Now that I think about it, that would mean Spike probably knew how valuable it was.

Haven’t seen the episode, yet. Does the comic get destroyed, or is there hope it went off to Canterlot? Possible fandom comic commission hangs in the balance…
