I can concede to that, but you can’t deny that the .mov series has definitely taken cues from R&S. How well it executes those is up to the viewer.

I just really don’t feel like it’s on the same level. I’m not bagging on anyone here but I just think it’s not even comparable. Ren and Stimpy did have the grossout and absurdist factor but done in a better and more controlled ways that would be more palatable to children. The swearing and overt (not implied) sexual references and more make the .mov definitely questionable for the kiddos in a way Ren and Stimpy never was.

Not even close to the same thing. I don’t remember the Ren and Stimpy when Ren shot period blood all over stimpy while resorting to prostitution.
