It looks like they mixed up who gets what element. Maybe the elements colors can change to fit the user. Maybe they aren’t limited to representing one element like the Main Six. Maybe the colors are so unimportant the show doesn’t bother to keep track thus showing all our speculations on the matter were folly.

It’s probably not the “magic” in this case. It’s probably the fact that Sandbar is the one that brought/held these creatures together. The same way Twilight did way back in season 1. I think..
If Smolder is generosity, then does that mean she will be the one to lead Dragons into a new era? The same way King Grover did, changing dragons from greedy creatures to generous creatures? I mean that’s the way I see her future as a brier of the Element of Harmony.
