I loved how happy Rarity was about everything being crystal. It was funny and cute. I also really like how they gave Spike a chance to be a hero.

The emphasis on Spike this was a great treat.

More of an evil force than an actual person (pony).

And I liked that Sombra had more of an ominous, lurking role, and you never got a good look at him until the end. Like Jaws or other classic horror movie monsters. He was more of a monster then a villian.

Well, my Pony withdrawal symptoms have finally subsided.

The whole thing was YES!  
They really went all out on this one!
 
Also, dat spoiler commercial.

I loved that Spike finally had a major role.

Like I said, Twilight’s really important now. There was always the whole Luna/Celestia Moon/Sun thing.
 
Twilight would be between night and day. So the test (with the preview commercial) seems to be setting up for Twilight to be doing some really important (and possibly/probably) regal things.
 
 
…I don’t see how the series continues with “Princess Twilight” though…
 
 
I could very easily see how the series ends after Twilight takes over for or joins Celestia and Luna after Season 4ish or 5ish.
 
Makes for a heart-wrenching end where Twilight has to leave Ponyville and her friends.
