Overall, the wedding episode was pretty well-received for the most part, and everyone seemed to love the villain Queen Chrysalis.

I wonder if people would think different about it if the Wedding episodes had been the season starter, and the Discord episodes the final…

Don’t really see what’s so “stupid” about it. Alot of the show’s continuity/canon/family members kinda came out of left-field anyways. (Like Daring Do suddenly being real.)
 
Still, it’s best to just remind yourself, “It’s just a pony show, I really should relax.”

Almost 2, but technically, just one season. (And sense the Mane 6 didn’t seem “surprised” about it, they likely already knew about her family’s existence beforehand)
 
Kinda funny some fans still gripe about Twilight “having a brother come out of nowhere,” (claiming it screws up her backstory, and what-not) yet have no problem that Sweetie Belle wasn’t even revealed to be Rarity’s sister until, “Stare Master,” (so in a way, that kinda came out of nowhere to) and her parents weren’t revealed until Season 2, as well. (Some fans speculated she lived with Rarity, and they didn’t have parents, like the Apple siblings.)
 
Heck, we still haven’t seen Scoots’ parents, and we finally had an episode reveal she has a “room/home,” and is not homeless. (Like some fans speculated.) There’s still alot of “canon” we don’t know about, or the show’s makers still haven’t revealed, or decided to flesh-out yet.

Well, Twilight went several seasons without telling people about her brother, and Applejack practically introduced her entire family as soon as she met.

well they even have the same forename now.  
and not forgetting the similar hairstyle.

Ah, for the good old days when people theorized that Sweetie Belle was Lyra and Bon Bon’s daughter.
