I should have been more specific, i never said the spider in the pic was the Goliath Bird Eater, I was simply stating that there is an even larger spider out there that eats even larger prey regularly.

Actually, this is the Golden Orb Weaver, which is the largest web-spinning spider. The one you named, the Goliath Bird Eater, is actually a tarantula. While it’s the largest in terms of mass, both it and the Golden Orb Weaver are beat for leg-span by the Giant Huntsman Spider. Still an incredibly impressive spider, mind you.
