you know, I think I might have to agree with you, I do remember how in the season one episodes where all the ponies were pretty much the stars, rarity would often steal the show so to speak, maybe it is best to have her in short bursts instead

Rarity’s lack of an episode would sting if it wasn’t for the fact that her scenes are the only ones that seem to be discussed or turned into memes etc.

Everyone else was fairly forgettable by comparison.  
So really her lack of an episode is more of an affront to the others when one thinks about it.

It’s probably easier to focus on one for the writers, though. However, it would be nice to have some more group focus episodes.

actually, you know, one final thought, it would be nice to see some more episodes where all the ponies were basically the main characters, rather than just focusing on one an episode, like in season one. I kind of miss that actually.

Actually I disagree, I feel like Rarity is the most fully developed character in the show. Maybe not story wise, but certainly personality wise, there could be so much they could do with her.. but they just don’t, it’s frustrating.

and they were both rather disappointing… really my issue isn’t that there haven’t been new rarity episodes, but how they use her. Except for the first season, as a secondary character she is interesting and dynamic, but when she has a full episode to herself it’s like the writers go absolutely blank and make her seem boring and one dimensional.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

Scootaloo deserved an episode far more then Rarity did though. All the other Crusaders had gotten theirs and Rarity had already had a few episodes. It was time for a Scootaloo episode.
