@redweasel
Well, anyway, my point is that this just looks more like an error than something intentional. That’s all.
Like, maybe if instead of a solid black line they did the top half of an eyelid over her eye and then set it at 50% transparency the effect might work, but as it is it just looks like they left in an extra line right on the face.

I swear I saw one, but I can’t find anything now, like at all. no tutorials, tips, or guides about ahegao, blinking, eyelids, or anything.
fairly sure the extra line is supposed to be an eye-blink. think like a freeze frame, where the eyelid moves so quickly it leaves a ghostly half image of itself in-between key frames. it’s supposed to indicate motion, action and intensity. someone caught right between closing their eyes and opening them.

Ok, well this would be a really bad example of that since it’s literally just a hard black line through the eye. The examples you posted are demonstrative of your point and they make sense in context, but if this is what that is then it seems really sloppy and frankly lazy in my opinion. You should be able to tell the difference between “ultimate sexual shock and pleasure” and “I was gonna have her eye’s half lidded but I decided to have that one open and forgot to remove the line before I published the image” without having to have a big discussion in the comments to clarify that the former is even a possibility.
That’s just my opinion though, I suppose. If the artist did it intentionally and thinks it looks good, that’s fine, I just personally think it looks bad.
@thps48
Oh! That’s a good way to describe it. I couldn’t find a ‘term’ to connect to this state or expression other then looking up a bunch of Ahegao images. I KNOW I’ve seen it in more then just sexual stimulation though.

As I mentioned before. I believe this is an anime/manga trope. It seems to indicate a moment of absolute shock or… Ahegao(Which is tagged for one.) I found a few examples:
You mean like most of the fandom has? Possibly!
cough Derpy cough
who requests that you just draw a random line over someone’s eye?
they have an animation error fetish?
It was merely a request by the client who commissioned the art, that is all.
I also would like to thank everyone for their comments. :)

Mm. :3
“WHO WOULD FROST A CAKE WITH THEIR BUTT?”
“OH, GOD, I’M GOING BLIND! FEELS SO GOOD!” :D
I don’t suppose you could give an example of what you just said being shown somewhere else?

Attributed to the phrase “going blind”, yeah? 83

Nnope.
Empty to overflowing. Oh lord.
I’m sorry, I had to…
Edited because: One of these days I'll remember to link things properly before I make the post
