IIRC it was the first event you could get a badge for. You literally had to click one link in the opening forum post to receive it.

And people still complained about not getting the badge, because they didn’t read the post, or do anything except basically stare the site passively for 24 hours.

Huh. The not-a-llama from 7 years ago is the oldest AFD badge I have, so I guess that’s how long they’ve been doing badges for it then.

This place has been doing April Fools’ Day events for 7 years now
7 years? Try 11 years, at least:
- 2012: ? (I wasn’t here yet back then, but Ponibooru had Pinkie Pie invasion)
- 2013: Trixiebooru (IIRC the site only displayed Trixie images. You could disable it in the settings, but if you did, the site gave you an ominous warning…)
- 2014: Cagebooru
- 2015: Desktop ponies
- 2016: Derpibooru premium (we don’t seem to have a good screencap of this, or it’s not tagged properly)
- 2017: DeviantBooru

This place has been doing April Fools’ Day events for 7 years now, you’d think that the sort of person who’d complain about AFDFOMO would have realized by now that when they log in on 4/1 (or 1/4 if they have health care instead of supercarriers, I guess) that they need to start checking the Site And Policy forum for event threads and looking around for anything out of the ordinary, like a site banner or various users suddenly having the same new badge.
