Both describe the “infection AUs” that have been popular on certain platforms lately. “mlp infection” has many more images under the tag, but as someone who doesn’t interact too much with it, “infection au” feels like the better name. I don’t know. Perhaps the tag could use a description too?
edit: maybe there’s some that technically aren’t alternate universes? in which case go with “mlp infection”

Yeah, this is me over-exaggerating and saying how the whole fandom hates the whole thing again. It’s probably as annoying as all the negativity thrown at G5, but I think I can put my question in better words, I think. It’s been about a month since I gave up on it. I think I still can’t let go completely.
I mean I know fanmade stuff is well adored and I think people still like the characters, maybe, probably for porn and fetishes, but like, what about the official stuff? Do people still care about the source material? Whether it’s MYM, TYT, FIM, Equestria Girls, or the comics, anyone still likes official pony stuff? I always see everywhere people saying how some fan stuff does things better than official stuff and that many people leave the show but still stay around sites like this for interacting with people. Obviously it’s because the official stuff is of poor quality and people are dissatisfied with the way the official stuff is going.
I’ve also seen a lot of “villains winning over protagonists and protagonists failing absolutely miserably” thing going on. I mean I know it’s all just in good fun but I can’t help but feel a deeper resentment or at least disappointment toward the way the canon goes. I’ve seen people going absolutely feral toward certain characters in the franchise, which I’ll be fair I’m one of them too. I imagine the hatred people have toward the show is so strong they’re always finding ways to fix it.
Moreover, at the most glaring point, I just don’t see anyone talk about the official stuff positively anymore. Be it G4 or G5, neither seem to be liked at all, G5 even less so with so many YouTube videos I’ve spotted. Again, I don’t feel the love for this franchise. With how many people say they left the show at certain season, I honestly don’t feel like liking it either. I haven’t seen the latest episode of TYT. I played the game but I don’t really see a lot of people talk about it either. Makes sense given the reception G5 is getting. I know people are still having fun with memes and fanarts and other things, but I think that’s it. MLP is over.
Honestly this whole ordeal is just reawakening my own problems I have with the franchise and I’m starting to wonder why I even started watching in the first place. Maybe it should have been over after season 3 or sooner.

Power: The beginning and end-all of everything. It starts with someone taking control and ends when someone else takes that control away before the endless cycle repeats. I guess one could afford to be a little arrogant when they have all the power without being questioned. Moderators and admins are often guilty of this.
They are arrogant, selfish, and uptight, especially when they know they can punish you for any reason. George Orwell was correct in his thesis regarding authoritative power: “Power corrupts, and absolute power will corrupt absolutely; great men are almost always bad men, especially when they exercise influence by authority, and even more so when you superadd the tendency or certainty of corruption by authority.”
It’s hard not to notice this when you see it in almost every group you’re in—tyranny disguised as civility. Just a bunch of wolves in sheep’s clothing; they call you crazy because they don’t want you to say these things since it challenges their sensitive egos—narcissists hate this specifically. I’ve done a lot of research on narcissism, and it is indeed worse than mere arrogance.
So because they cannot, for whatever reason, face this ignoble truth, they try to gaslight you by making it look like you’re crazy? Is that the best that power-hungry despots can do? They know you’ll never fall for their act, so they try to convince you and others around you that you’re going mad. While it is true that I’m certainly mad, it’s for an entirely different reason.
They’re all basically a bunch of Percey Weasleys—the classic Discord Moderator personified in a story, except, to his credit, even he decided to settle down on his stickler attitude and began to be good where it counted. Percy was the most disliked in his family because he was so power-hungry. (For those of you who read Harry Potter, you’ll know who I’m talking about.)

i’ve been thinking lately, should there be some changes to the death battle tag?The tag is tagged as a meme, since the tag normally refers to images using the Death battle template, like this one
However there are several images here that are from the actual Death Battle show itself, considering it’s done multiple episodes featuring MLP before (and it’s making another MLP episode on the 11th)SO my suggestion is that for images posted here using the template, have them be tagged as something like “death battle template” or “death battle (meme)” and add in the meme tags for that, meanwhile leave the tag “death battle” without any implications and have that to refer to the series itself and not the matchup template

Alias equi, equid, equis and equines to the correct equine tag. I don’t really understand why the
equine tag even exists.All of these currently sit at zero images, but all of them (except “equines”) have extensive removal histories, even recently. People just don’t bother to look up what the correct tag is.

fins is implied by tail fin and fin wings, and has been used by other people (as well as a lot by that BP who seems to have a targeted interest in underwater creatures)

Hi guys!
Not sure how to start this really, but I could do with some guidance.
I’ve recently seen that Hot Topic has restarted selling MLP shirts and merch which I am really happy to see!
The only problem is that I can’t get any as I suffer with a chronic disease called ‘Being British’.
Is it at all possible to get stuff across the pond without paying 6x the price of the items on shipping alone?
At a MASSVIVE push, is it possible for someone to jump into one and send stuff over to me? I know that’s asking a hell of a lot and sounds stupid, but all I can do is ask (and, very obviously, I’d be willing to pay for everything!)
